Rejuvenate Magazine, published out of the Lake Wylie area, promoted a contest for a “Free Makeover”. Forever Young Salon and Spa was chosen to participate for each makeover. The first makeover was Liz McBride.
Liz is a busy wife and mother of three which left her no time for herself to relax and keep up with the newest styles.
Forever Young Salon gave Liz a new look that reflected her personality with the consideration it needed to be easy for her to maintain. Forever Young first had a consultaion with Liz to determine what specific skin care she would need, as well as to take in consideration the color of her skin and eyes to ensure the best hair color and style.
Owner and Esthetician April Currie, did all the skin care. First a microdermabrasion was done on Liz. This treatment removes dead skin cells allowing new cells to grow promoting collagen. It also helps with sun damage and reduces large pores. Deep cleansing and a facial massage followed, leaving her skin hydrated and smooth.
Currie then gave Liz a Non-Surgical Face lift treatment(micro-current).
This is a non-invasive treatment to exercise facial muscles firming, lifting and tightening the skin and muscles resulting in deminished fine lines.
Currie completed the session shaping Liz’s eyebrows and applying makeup and gave Liz a skin care plan to follow at home to fit into her busy schedule.
Liz then met with stylist Tonya Jenkins for her initial consultation. Her hair was damaged in the crown area, some over processing and breakage.
Jenkins decided on a warm palette of colors using warm medium brown with golden blonde hi-lites. The cut kept her hair medium length with layers angled around the face and long side-swept bangs. This style would be realistic giving her a style she could do at home in little time.
Liz was excited and pleased with her results and felt “rejuvenated” for the first time in a long time.
